Create a team of heroes and explore different realms as they unlock. Each level has different kinds of enemies, items and creatures that you can battle with.

Defeat all the enemies in each level to progress through the game, collecting treasure and finding new heroes for your team! You can even use the items you've collected to forge new equipment or create a character!

Ippo Makunouchi has always been a shy and timid high school student, keeping to himself in order to help his mother run her family fishing charter business. One day, he is attacked by bullies led by Umezawa, who leave him bruised and bleeding.

When the bullies are out of sight, a middleweight boxer named Mamoru Takamura comes to his rescue, and Ippo is taken to the Kamogawa Boxing Gym for recovery. There, he quickly impresses Takamura with his punching skills, and Takamura challenges him to train for a few rounds.

The first match is with prodigy Ichirou Miyata, one of the gym's most promising young fighters. The two boxers have a friendly rivalry, but they soon realize that the true challenge lies ahead of them.

The series focuses on Ippo's progress in the ring and his development as a person, with many fights allowing both parties to learn more about each other. It is a story about self-discovery and growth, and features strong performances from its cast.
